David received a perfect score on his Army Physical Fitness Test and ranked first among his entire troop of three platoons. At his Calvary Scout graduation, he was one of five soldiers honored for their achievements. PVT. According to his commanding officers, Recine was recognized “for outstanding performance during the Army Physical Fitness Test. PVT. Recine scored the highest during the Army Physical Fitness Test, exhibiting pride and hard work combined with the determination to exceed the standards. The dedication he displayed will motivate other Soldiers to set higher goals. His exemplary performance reflects great credit upon himself, 5th Squadron, 15th Cavalry Regiment, and the United States Army.”
PVT. Recine credits his strong faith in God and his goal to succeed and stand apart, instilled in him by his family and his years at Our Lady of Lourdes as the driving force behind his success. He is now currently serving at the 1st Infantry Division as a Recon Scout, stationed at Fort Riley, Kansas.
