It began with the women’s lacrosse coaches in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference in 2009 where the idea was created to tackle an issue that coaches, teams, and communities deal with every day, adolescent suicide and life after suicide. After seeing the response from campuses and other communities, Lax-4-Life, Inc. grew into what it is today with the involvement and support from men’s and women’s Division I, II, III and NAIA lacrosse programs, as well as high school programs.
