“Each of these students has been a blessing to Lourdes, and we are exceptionally proud of them,” remarked Mrs. Merryman. “They are hardworking, dedicated scholars, and have clearly earned this tremendous accomplishment. Moira and Sedem will represent this class with great distinction.”

Moira received acceptances to the University of Notre Dame, Boston College, University of Miami, and Villanova. She plans to attend Notre Dame as a Biology major on a pre-med track. A four-year soccer and softball athlete at Lourdes, Moira also lent her talents to Model UN, News & Views, and the Math Team during her high school career.

Sedem considered offers from Boston University, Northeastern, University of Rochester, SUNY Albany, Binghamton, Buffalo, Stony Brook, Drexel, Syracuse, Temple, and UMass Amherst before settling on New York University. She also has aspirations of attending medical school and becoming a physician. During her years at Lourdes, Sedem was an active member of the Students Take Action Club, Lourdes Theatre Company, Spanish Club, and Photography Club.

They each hold membership in the National Honor Society and St. Albert the Great Chapter of the Science National Honors Society. In addition, both students, share a common path as former students of St. Denis-St. Columba school.

Congratulations Moira and Sedem!
