Mr. Corbally was a great friend and benefactor to our school both personally and through his work as a trustee of the McCann Foundation, Inc. and the James J. McCann Charitable Trust. Inducted into the school’s prestigious Legion of Honor in 2015, he joined in many of the school’s celebrations, most notably the groundbreaking and field dedication ceremonies. Mr. Corbally and his wife, Julia sent all of their children to OLL; Julia ’75, Charles, ’77, John ’79, and Anne ’83.
“Mr. Corbally’s contributions to Our Lady of Lourdes will carry on for generations to come. His remarkable support has shaped our school into what it is today, and it has been my distinct honor to have known him,” said Catherine Merryman, Lourdes President. “His commitment to Catholic education, his faith, family, and work will be forever celebrated.”
The OLL community offers our prayers and deepest condolences to the Corbally and Gartland families. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace.
Eternal rest grant unto them,
O Lord, and let perpetual light
shine upon them. May the souls
of all the faithful departed, through
the mercy of God, rest in peace.
