Since second grade, soccer has been a large part of Jamieson Druckenmiller’s life, and this afternoon she fulfilled a childhood dream by signing a National Letter of Intent to play Division II soccer for Dominican College where she will major in Occupational Therapy. Currently a senior at OLL, the lifelong Beacon resident began playing soccer at the early age of four and once she began her competitive career in second grade, she knew she wanted to play at the collegiate level.
In her high school career at Lourdes, Jamieson has been a four-year varsity player and earned All-League honors in Section One in her sophomore, junior and senior years. In addition to representing OLL, this Lady Warrior has played for the Lagrange Sparks and East Hudson Academy programs.
Her most memorable experiences through these years include defeating Beacon High School, her hometown school, in her freshman year for the first time in many years, and winning League Champs in 2021 after a 10-year drought was a career highlight!
Expressing gratitude for all the opportunities Lourdes has afforded her, Jamie said, “This is a big day that fulfills a long-time dream of mine. I am here today because of the efforts of many, and I really want to thank all my coaches, and the entire Lourdes community - the faculty, my teammates, and my friends for all their help and support. I would not be moving onto this next level without them.”
Lourdes Varsity soccer coach, Tony LaRocca, praised Jamie for her passion for the sport and thanked God for bringing her to Lourdes.  “Jamie was a pleasure to coach and I am confident she will continue to succeed at college, both academically and athletically,” said Coach Larocca. “We wish her all the best as she moves on to the next exciting chapter of her life.”
Jamie’s family and friends, coaches, her OLL teammates, Lourdes Dean of Student Affairs Caroline Beyer, Athletic Director Bill Kyle, and faculty members were all on hand for the signing to support and congratulate her.
