A longtime friend and benefactor to Our Lady of Lourdes High School, Monsignor’s generous contributions were instrumental in the addition of the OLLHS Arts & Athletic Center in 2001 and also in the renovations of theMonsignor Brinn Family Theatre. Monsignor’s love of Catholic Education and his spiritual and financial support of the newly purchased OLLHS campus was critical to our success. In 2002, Monsignor Brinn was Inducted into the school’s prestigious Legion of Honor. Since that time he continued to remain a prayerful supporter and advisor to many of the school’s endeavors and events.
“Monsignor Brinn’s legacy at Our Lady of Lourdes will be felt for many years to come. His sincere interest in the success of our school and students was clearly evident and we will remain forever grateful for his faithful dedication to our school’, stated Catherine Merryman, Lourdes President. “Monsignor’s name, his charity and love will forever be remembered and honored in our school community.”
The OLL community offers our prayers and deepest condolences to the Brinn family. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace.
Eternal rest grant unto him,
O Lord, and let perpetual light
shine upon him. May the souls
of all the faithful departed, through
the mercy of God, rest in peace.
On Saturday, December 3rd, a Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated for the repose of Msgr. Brinn’s soul at St. Mary’s Church in Poughkeepsie at 10:00 am. All are welcome to attend this Mass.
