Opening this year’s event was the official dedication and blessing of the Athletic Hall of Fame display wall in memory of Mike Malet ’66, who founded this event. Mike passed away in 2022 and Mike’s wife, Cindy, son, Chris ’94 and Chris’ wife, Kelly, their children, Patrick and Aiden, Mike’s sister Eileen ’75 and her husband Brian were present for this moment.

All who attended the induction ceremony were inspired by the words of Principal Meghan Vilardo, Athletic Director Matthew Petruzzelli, school Chaplain Fr. Connolly, and Robert Ranieri, member of the Board of Trustees and President of the OLL Alumni Association, who opened the ceremony.
The honorees continued to impress and humble the crowd of more than 120 guests with their words of gratitude and stories of success, on and off the field, the court, and the water.

Congratulations to the Athletic Hall of Fame Honorees 2023!
