A Message From the Nominee
“Lourdes’ emphasis on discipline and high-quality academics. including AP and college courses, has definitely prepared me not only for college-level studies but for the professional environment that I will be faced with in my future endeavors.
I was given the opportunity to form lifelong friendships at Lourdes for which I am very grateful. I was able to grow close with many of the faculty at OLL, which I believe is significant to any student’s academic experience.
If I had to decide just one faculty member who influenced me the most it would be Mr. LaRocca. Mr. LaRocca has not only been an influential teacher to me, but also a good friend. I believe that holds true for other students as well. He’s been very supportive of my interests and has fostered an even deeper love and interest to pursue politics as a passion and an eventual career. Discussing politics with him is always fun, and it is refreshing to be able to have conversations like that with a teacher like him. He has made a truly positive mark on my life.
I would say OLL is a school that truly cares about each and every one of us as individuals. The academics are challenging, which help you to grow as a student in preparation for the future. The opportunities to develop relationships with faculty is a feature unmatched at any other institution. I honestly feel well prepared for college and my future.”
Roberto will be attending Fordham University and plans to major in Political Science with a minor in Business Administration. Thereafter, he plans to attend Law School to become a corporate attorney. He also aspires to run for political office one day.
Favorite Memory from Lourdes
“My favorite memory from Lourdes is hands down the senior class trip to Disney. It was definitely the perfect culmination of my time at OLL.”
