A Message from the Valedictorian
“Lourdes has prepared me for the future by providing a haven in which one can grow and learn. It has presented different challenges that have encouraged me to work hard and accomplish my goals. It has taught me the values of faith, as well as teamwork and camaraderie.
I am glad I attended Lourdes because of the people I have met and the lessons I have learned. The Lourdes community is one of faith and love, which is apparent when walking through the halls of the school. The faculty and staff have given us the resources needed to exceed and have instilled certain values in us that are inherent to the teachings of the school.”
Anna plans on majoring in both Economics and Business Analytics at the University of Notre Dame. She hopes to pursue a career as a business analyst.
Class or faculty member who influenced me the most.
“Both Mrs. Katz and Mrs. Carey have greatly influenced me over the years as I have been lucky to have them both as my teacher for two years. Mrs. Katz not only taught me how to write effectively, but how to get through difficult times and the power of faith. Mrs. Carey challenged me with the most rigorous courses I have taken at Lourdes, thus pushing me to work hard so that I could succeed. “
Favorite Memory from Lourdes
“My favorite memories from Lourdes all come from volleyball seasons. I loved playing alongside my sister freshman year and will never forget the time I accidentally made her trip in the middle of a set. I also enjoyed competing in the lip sync battle alongside my teammates and winning not only once, but two years in a row.”
What would you say to a student who is thinking about attending Lourdes.
“I think that students should attend Lourdes because there truly is no other school like it. The teachers and staff work to see their students succeed and reach their utmost potential. The students care for one another and look out for each other as they journey through this crucial time of their lives together. The teachings of faith permeate the campus as students not only learn about math and science but how one should act and the values one should have as well.”
