A Message From the Nominee
“I have learned so many things from my past four years at OLL both inside and outside the classroom. I have learned how to work well with others, manage my time, and create true friendships that will last long after I graduate. I have learned how to start each day off on a good note and how walking down the hall with a smile on your face can turn any day into a good day.
I have created friendships here that will follow me throughout my entire life. I have learned so many life lessons it’s almost impossible to count. Lourdes is truly a happy place and I can genuinely say I enjoyed coming to school each day.
The Lourdes faculty member who influenced me the most is Mrs. Cuccia. I have known Mrs. Cuccia for over a decade and I can honestly say that she has influenced my life in a way I never thought a teacher could. I only had her for freshman year biology, and yet I always find myself in her classroom talking about my day and hers. She truly cares about all of her students and wants them to succeed. She is also one of the smartest people I know, and she is always reading and willing to help me study for one of Mr. Herles’ crazy hard, college-level biotests. She has the coolest sense of style and her hair has never seen a bad day in her life. Mrs. Cuccia is truly one of my good friends and I would not be the person I am without her.”
Grace was accepted to Ave Maria University, and Saint Anselm College.
She will be attending Ave Maria University, where she is going in as undecided major but she hopes to one day work in a profession that helps keep America safe by following a path in law or law enforcement.
Favorite Memory from Lourdes
“My favorite memory from Lourdes is Disney World. Walking from country to country with my two favorite people on earth, Tara and Lin, trying new exotic foods in the glorious Florida weather was something I will never forget. I went on my first roller coaster ride ever and nearly blew out LIn’s eardrums from how loud I screamed. From the moment the plane took off, to the moment we got on the bus home we had the time of our lives. Since freshman year, the Disney trip was all anyone talked about and it totally lived up to the hype.”
