A Message from the Valedictorian

“Lourdes has provided me with an abundance of challenges and opportunities, both academic and athletic, through which I have learned and matured. Furthermore, Lourdes has allowed me to develop important values such as optimism, persistence, and a willingness to try new activities.

I am glad I attended Lourdes because the Lourdes community is truly unlike any other. I have gained lifelong companions each year at Lourdes. The faculty and staff work endlessly to provide us with a brilliant education, and I have received mentorship from my teachers each step of my high school education.”

College Plans

Albert was accepted to Cornell University, University of Notre Dame, UC Berkley, UCLA, Carnegie Mellon University, New York University, Brown University, and the University of Michigan.

He will be attending Cornell University and hopes to major in computer science or biomedical engineering in the College of Engineering at Cornell. He will also be one of approximately 30 students in the Hunter R. Rawlings III Presidential Research Scholars program, which will allow him to conduct financially supported, faculty-mentored research throughout his undergraduate years. He hopes to pursue a career as a software engineer and possibly start his own company.

Class or faculty member who influenced me the most.

“This is certainly one of the most difficult questions that I have encountered at Lourdes. All of the faculty members at Lourdes have influenced me in a unique and constructive manner. Each and every faculty member has treated me diligently and kindly, which I especially appreciate.”

Favorite Memory from Lourdes

“My favorite memories at Lourdes have been the band trips to Six Flags each year. They were an amazing way to spend time with my friends while going on some of the largest rides in America.”

What would you say to a student who is thinking about attending Lourdes.

“What I would say to someone thinking about Lourdes is definitely attend Lourdes! You’ll join an exciting community with diverse interests and talents. The Lourdes faculty and staff work their hardest so you can succeed in high school and beyond. With so many opportunities and resources, Lourdes is the ideal environment to grow into young adults and flourish.”
