Ms. Gaye graduated from Marist College with a B.A. in English Literature and minors in French and History. During her undergraduate work, she interned at several museums and non-profit organizations, including the FDR Presidential Library & Museum and United Way of the Dutchess-Orange Region. After graduating from Marist, she pursued an MAT in English at SUNY New Paltz. As of December 2020, she will have her NY State Initial Teaching Certificate. During graduate school, Ms. Gaye also worked as the Assistant Coach of Men’s and Women’s Cross Country at SUNY New Paltz, having competed in cross country and track & field while at Marist. 

Ms. Gaye’s goal as an educator is to help students develop into critical thinkers and persuasive writers, always examining the world around them. She strives to help students understand classic and contemporary literature as a window into the experiences of individuals across cultures and time periods.
