A Message from the Valedictorian

My Lourdes experience has prepared me for the future because all my teachers have been committed to getting to know their students and helping them succeed. I was given a very tailored learning experience that allowed me to grow. Catholic education, in general, has provided a solid foundation of faith that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I am glad I attended Lourdes because of the amazing community and all the people I got to meet. I made so many great friendships, learned from excellent teachers, and got to benefit from the kind, welcoming community that envelops the whole school.

My favorite memory from Lourdes is attending football games with my friends, cheering on the school, and getting to feel that sense of community that makes Lourdes so special. Some of my other best memories are riding on the bus to and from soccer games, getting to bond with the team.

To a student who is thinking about attending Lourdes, I would say to definitely attend. They will meet amazing people and get a great education. I would offer them the advice that they should take advantage of every opportunity, meet as many new people as they can, join lots of new clubs, and enjoy the opportunity!

How has remote learning impacted your education/and/or prepared you for college?

Remote learning definitely was an adjustment, but I think Lourdes did very well with having a hybrid program in place quickly and allowing us to continue learning fairly seamlessly. It will be helpful in college that I have transitioned to doing most of my work on the computer since this is how I may be doing my work in college.
