A Message From the Nominee

Lourdes presented me with an opportunity to immerse myself both intellectually and spiritually. In this Catholic High School, there are supportive teachers who helped nurture me in both my academics and my faith. Lourdes fosters a positive learning environment which provides me and all the students with opportunities to grow socially, intellectually, and emotionally.

I am glad I attended Lourdes because I have met so many friends and I have strengthened my faith while here. I have built great relationships with my dedicated and hard-working teachers who have offered their unwavering support in my journey in life. My participation in high school athletics has been instrumental in my character development. It has taught me so much about hard work and perseverance.

My favorite memory from Lourdes is when our dance class performed a dance at the Accepted Students’ Event. This is my favorite memory because we had spent almost the whole day of school prior to the event dancing and practicing our routine. We were practicing all the dance routines we had done throughout the whole year combined into one long dance. This gave me an opportunity to spend time with a lot of the new friends I have made through the class and with Mrs. Vilardo, who was our amazing and very skilled dance teacher. I had never danced previously to this class, but it is one of the best decisions I made in my Senior year. Through the class, I made so many new friends and strengthened relationships with peers I already knew. I also got to learn how to dance which was challenging but extremely exciting and rewarding. At the Accepted Students’ Event, I got to show off my new skills and spend time with the people I loved.

Lourdes offers a great high school experience with many unique aspects that you cannot find in other schools. An opportunity to establish lifelong friendships, and develop important skills for use in life, and valuable memories. Going to Lourdes was the best decision I have ever made and it has helped me become the person I am today, and the memories and guidance will help me become the woman God is calling me to be.
