A Message From the Nominee
Lourdes is a tight-knit community that nourishes its students in faith, knowledge, and love. It embodies an institution that not only focuses on a student’s intellectual well-being but also on the student’s well-being as a whole. The classes are designed to allow student growth through in-class discussions, hands-on activities, and a limited number of students. In addition, Lourdes acts as a safe haven to practice and strengthen your religion, seeing that the day begins and ends with prayer. To me, Lourdes means a loving and caring community that is there for each and every one of its students.
I am glad I attended Lourdes because it has provided me with opportunities I wouldn’t have even begun to imagine. Over the course of my four years at Lourdes, I have both strengthened my beliefs, while also branching out of my comfort zone. Lourdes has allowed me to continue my love for the arts through the theater company, music department, and dance class. Furthermore, I became exposed to cheerleading and the math team, both of which I am now passionate about. I am glad Lourdes has helped me to build connections with teachers and build friendships with my peers that will last a lifetime.
My favorite memory from Lourdes is going to Disney with my senior class and eating the skinny french fries from freshman year.
The first thing I would say to a potential future Lourdean is that Lourdes is a wonderful environment full of experiences and opportunities that you will never forget. The relationships you make with your teachers and peers are indescribable. Lourdes will no doubt prepare you for the next chapter of your life and will shape you into the amazing person that you become.
